My Lens and His Eyes

Hi, you can call me Xu – sounds just like “shoe”.

I know that I am lucky. My first camera was given as a gift by my beloved grandfather. It is a Canon 5D Mark II, with a 24-70mm lens. The camera helps me see the world in an interesting way, either though photos, or videos. Too bad my grandfather was too old to travel around the world with me, so I took my lens as his eyes – wherever I go, whatever I see, I bring them back for him.

He left me recently. But I will continue; because I know he can still see.
